Facilities

1)Demonstration Room

• There are two demonstration rooms (each 60 Sq. m in size) with accommodation capacity of 75 students in each, equipped with appropriate audio visual aids with wifi facility, contribute to the department's educational environment.

2)Practical Laboratory

• Laboratory (200 sq.m) which can accommodate 80 students is used for practical teaching purpose. Our department has adequate practical teaching materials like models, slides, specimens, dissecting microscopes and exhibits.

3)Museum Department

• Museum Department has a museum of 125 Sq. m size. A total of 76 specimens, 84 charts and photographs are displayed in the museum for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

4)Library

• The departmental library is well equipped with 148 text books in Community Medicine and 88 national and international journals.

5)Training

• Two health centers viz. RHTC Nellipoyil & UHTC Mukkam are utilized as teaching and training centers for Undergraduates, Interns & Postgraduates. Interns are posted in government taluk hospital as a part of the CRMI training, and also to the district health system.

6)Research

• The Department gives prime importance to undergraduate and postgraduate research for which we have a well equipped research laboratory of 50 sq m size with various research equipments. Most of the research activities are carried out at the field practice areas.
